Production Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our team at Horton, Inc. in Britton, SD.

This is an hourly position with a competitive salary of $22.01 per hour, depending on experience. The standard hours of work are Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, with overtime as needed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for washing parts to remove coolant, oil, or other materials that interfere with painting or production operations. They will also maintain accurate inventories by entering data into the business system, visually inspecting parts, assembling products, and transporting baskets of parts/units to staging or finished goods areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Using a parts washer to de-grease metal parts
• Recording quantities of parts in productivity software and delivering loaded baskets to the stock room area or other designated area
• Performing assembly functions
• Exhibiting basic personal computer functions in various software systems
• Reworking units which fail to pass quality control checks
• Providing training in work methods, procedures, and work instructions to employees

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is desired but not required. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. The ideal candidate must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
