About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist 2 to join our high-acuity, fast-paced, multispecialty operating room team at Inova Health Tower. As a Surgical Technologist 2, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to aseptic techniques and protocols.
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team, expediting the operative procedure as needed.
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance surgical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Surgical Technologist registration via the Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.
  • BLS certification via the American Heart Association.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) certification (preferred).
