Position Overview

The Stamping Press Operator is a unionized hourly role that reports directly to the Press Room supervisor. This position requires flexibility to work on any shift, with a commitment of at least 40 hours per week, in addition to any scheduled overtime. The compensation rate can reach up to $23.50 per hour, pending future union negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate stamping dies in both transfer and progressive presses.

• Evaluate existing settings and propose/implement modifications to enhance operational efficiency.

• Document all production output and scrap generated during the shift for management review.

• Monitor press operations and dies, reporting any irregularities to management for prompt resolution.

• Conduct inspections of all incoming materials prior to processing to ensure accuracy.

• Regularly inspect parts to guarantee the production of high-quality components.

• Adhere to all safety protocols as outlined in training sessions.

• Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned in accordance with standard production practices.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in stamping manufacturing is essential.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Basic mathematical skills are required.

• Experience with overhead cranes is advantageous, though not mandatory.
