Body Fit Plus Inc is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist in Charge to join our team at a correctional facility in California.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified pharmacist to oversee the pharmacy operations, manage prescription orders, and provide consultations to medical staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct patient care, clinical competencies, and a valid California pharmacy license.

Responsibilities
  • Prescription Review: Review and verify prescription orders for completeness, correctness, and authenticity.
  • Medication Management: Assess prescription orders against patient medical profiles for improper drug selection, under-dosage, and drug interactions.
  • Pharmacy Operations: Manage prescription orders, prepare IV admixtures, and instruct pharmacy technicians as needed.
  • Consultations: Provide consultations to medical staff and the Medical Authorization Review Committee.
  • Leadership: Monitor and direct pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Twelve (12) continuous months of experience in direct patient care in a public or private institution.
  • Licensure: Valid California pharmacy license.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or related field.
