Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues by following safe work practices and reporting any incidents or hazards.
• Assist supervisors in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by wearing appropriate PPE and using proper lifting techniques.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments, material, or equipment needs.
• Follow detailed job-specific instructions to produce assemblies and tests efficiently and meet customer specifications.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and inspect parts as they are assembled.
• Bolt or fasten parts together and tend machines for fitting or fastening operations.
• Work in various stations as required by production and collaborate with the team to reduce bottlenecks and achieve goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and notify supervisors of production errors or equipment malfunctions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience/GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
