Job Summary:

Soliant is currently recruiting for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a reputable school district. This position entails working with a K-12th grade caseload, approximately 60 students, and requires onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, and activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure student progress.
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance students' participation and independence within the school environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid California license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of students with varying disabilities and developmental levels.
