Job Summary:

CPP-Syracuse is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician and Instrumentation Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing high-level maintenance tasks on state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair plant-wide production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Experience with 480V 3-phase electrical power distribution systems and the ability to apply electrical theory with strong troubleshooting techniques.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machine instrumentation and electrical controls, as well as high-voltage systems and equipment.
  • Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems and associated components, and have knowledge of PLC controls (Allen Bradley) and associated software, including Ladder Logic Programming.
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic schematics, and plant drawings to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance tasks on all production equipment, diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, and correct problems.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college, or electrical apprenticeship.
  • Experience in an industrial environment, electrical training or certification, and NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Technician (NFPA 70E) certification.
  • Preferred skills include HVAC knowledge, robotic experience, and computer network knowledge.
