Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Grad Intern to join our team at Walmart. As a Pharmacy Grad Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and accurately dispense prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist.
  • Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs.
  • Maintain confidential information and controlled medication procedures as permitted by local, state, and federal laws.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and evaluate potential chemical interactions and side effects associated with the use of prescribed medications.
  • Ensure accurate dictation, communication, and interpretation of written prescriptions to/from physicians.
  • Provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying customer needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving customer issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
  • Operate equipment, such as cash registers and related tools, to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
  • Receive and stock merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers and organize and maintain the Pharmacy area by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
  • Maintain the Pharmacy area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation in the Pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly wage range of $18.00-$37.00, with additional compensation including annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Sales Volume Category (SVC) based on location and facility sales volume.

Requirements
  • Enrolled in final year at an accredited Pharmacy school.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors: Science
  • Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification - Certification
