Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is $41,600 - $44,000 per year.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Relations Specialist to join our team. As a Family Relations Specialist, you will carry a caseload of families who are voluntarily seeking preventive or early intervention services in their homes or community. Your primary responsibility will be to provide parent support and case management addressing concrete needs, connecting families to community resources, and sharing evidence-based practices for developing healthier coping skills and parenting techniques through the Nurturing Parent Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain adherence to the ethical standards of FamilyForward and those of the specific profession.
  2. Provide coaching sessions in families' homes or other community locations using evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions.
  3. Address concrete needs and connect families to community resources.
  4. Interact/communicate with parents/caregivers in a respectful and supportive manner.
  5. Assess the safety and health of children as a first priority.
  6. Communicate/collaborate with others (therapists, child welfare workers, medical providers, etc.) for continuity of care.
  7. Document interactions, develop case plans, and conduct needs assessments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelors degree in Social Work required; master's degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
  • Minimum two years of related experience.
  • Experience working in community based social services.
  • Experience in serving high needs populations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
