Medical PA Specialist

Job OverviewKaty Trail Community Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical PA Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical revenue cycle.
Responsibilities- Authorization and Reimbursement: Ensure all pre-authorizations are approved prior to services being rendered. Assist clinicians and support staff with authorization-related inquiries and denials.
- Coding and Billing Accuracy: Conduct quality reviews of patient medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing practices. Collaborate with providers and staff to optimize professional services for maximum reimbursement.
- Accounts Receivable and Collections: Process claims, manage accounts receivable, and perform collections activities to ensure timely payment from third-party payers.
- Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; CPC or related certification preferred.
- Coding and Billing Knowledge: Proficient in ICD-10 and CPT coding; knowledge of third-party payer systems, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronic medical record and practice management systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work effectively under pressure.
