Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at SGS. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will play a critical role in preparing and analyzing samples with accuracy and precision, ensuring that our analytical SOPs are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently prepare and analyze samples according to SGS' analytical SOPs using instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
- Perform routine operations, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments/equipment.
- Assist with validation and MDL studies.
- Assist with investigation and preparation of responses to client inquiries and CARs.
- Input and maintain technical information, as needed, to support the laboratory functions/operations.
- Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
- Perform initial data review, verifying quality control standards met criteria and identifying samples that need to be reanalyzed.
- Create initial version of analytical reports.
- Document non-conformances and involve Senior Laboratory Analysts, Team Leads, and Laboratory Supervisor, as needed, to ensure they are effectively addressed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laboratory.
- Ensure appropriate supply inventory.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Basic analytical chemistry principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
