Position Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager at Planet Forward is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive programs aimed at ensuring adherence to all quality and regulatory standards while enhancing the quality and compliance of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the professional advancement of the Quality Department by refining processes and developing personnel in alignment with the Leadership Model.
  • Meet quality assurance operational goals by providing insights and analyses for strategic planning; implementing standards for production, productivity, quality, and customer service; conducting audits; identifying system enhancements; and facilitating change.
  • Draft quality assurance processes and inspection protocols, while managing databases for document control and corrective actions.
  • Achieve financial targets for quality assurance by estimating needs, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective measures.
  • Validate quality processes by defining product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualifications; and updating quality assurance protocols.
  • Maintain certification and compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Provide managerial and technical guidance while effectively collaborating with regulatory and business partners to strengthen business and regulatory relationships.
  • Oversee Quality Inspection and Designated Inspection to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of APQP/AS9145 methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality policies, procedures, and relevant technical documentation.
  • Proficient in problem-solving techniques such as 8D and 5-Why's.
  • Customer-focused with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Collaborative leadership skills to drive results in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize resources effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Encourages and fosters a culture of continuous improvement among team members.
  • Preferred experience in auditing within a manufacturing or regulatory context.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Aviation Sciences, Quality, Engineering) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years in quality assurance/control and manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing and sustaining a Quality Management System.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector is essential.
