Job Summary

The Lab Resource Nurse Support position is responsible for providing technical and tutoring support to students in the Nursing Programs. This role assists in maintaining the lab environment, managing equipment and supplies, and collaborating with faculty to integrate technology and simulation into the nursing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support student clinical reasoning and evidence-based psychomotor development by providing direct assistance in the campus lab during open lab practice times.
  • Maintain inventory levels of equipment and supplies necessary for specific content areas taught in the lab.
  • Organize, maintain, and ensure the safety of the lab environment.
  • Manage and maintain the nursing practice lab in operating order, including supplies, equipment, and records.
  • Assist and coordinate with Faculty lab equipment and supplies needs for lab courses.
  • Collaborate with Lab Resource Nurse and Simulation Faculty Manager on simulated student experiences.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited College or University in Nursing.
  • Current RN license in the state of Washington or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
  • Two (2) years of recent full-time equivalent (FTE) clinical nursing experience. Current CPR certification.
  • Proof of freedom from tuberculosis, current immunizations.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited College or University.
