The Nurse Practitioner administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. This professional observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
Key Responsibilities- Participate as a primary nurse, associate nurse, team member, or team leader in the planning and implementing of patient care.
- Direct and assist in carrying out safe aseptic technique and procedures.
- Offer leadership and direction to all support staff within the department.

Our hospital is the largest and foremost acute care medical facility in the region, with a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and surgical suites.
Accreditation and Recognition- Accredited Chest Pain Center
- Accredited Joint Commission Stroke Team
- Teaching facility, in affiliation with the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- One-year experience in nursing preferred
- Current Texas State RN License
- CPR (American Heart Association)
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer date
- Alice: PALS within 18 months of hire/transfer date
- Surgical: PALS within 18 months of hire/transfer date
