Teaching Opportunities

This is a part-time faculty position for an adjunct instructor to teach photography courses. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering high-quality instruction in an equitable environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. They will work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilizing the College's learning management system, they will provide course materials to students and submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.

Responsibilities include regularly checking College email account and department mailbox, responding to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends. Additionally, they will complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines. Finally, they will submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.

This is a unique opportunity for an adjunct instructor to join our team and contribute to the education of our students.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Photography or Art, Studio Art, Graphic Design or Visual Communications with photography emphasis or Associate's degree in Photography, Graphic Design or Visual Communications and three years' non-teaching related work experience. Preferred qualifications include college-level teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching. They will also be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is also required.

The salary for this position is estimated at $650.00 - $740.00 per credit hour.
