Join Our Team as a Medical Laboratory Scientist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team in the Andrology and Endocrine Laboratories. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, working closely with our clinical team to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests and procedures in clinical laboratory sections under the direction of the Supervisor.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to perform accurately all routine and complex laboratory procedures for which competency has been established and authorization to perform testing has been granted.
  • Monitor, perform, and document all Quality Control, maintenance, and calibration procedures according to established protocols and accreditation agency standards.
  • Participate in Proficiency Testing and ensure proficiency testing is performed in the same manner as patient specimens.
  • Assist the supervisor in specified activities that ensure laboratory compliance with all accreditation agencies.
  • Work well with Supervisors and those in authority; work at establishing a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with all members of the laboratory.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in MLS or other biological or chemical science or U.S. equivalent (substantiated by foreign credential evaluation statement).
  • Broad knowledge of various laboratory methods and techniques, quality assurance, in addition to PC and LIS knowledge.
  • MLS Certification by a minimum knowledge-based exam such as the Board of Certification (ASCP), equivalent, or eligible to take such an exam preferred.
