Job Description

Porsche Cars North America is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Engineering Staff, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing root cause/corrective actions for technical issues requiring timely solutions for the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze Warranty Cases: Monitor frequent product quality issues, discover new product quality issues, establish correlations, and gauge effectiveness of engineering solutions.
  • Lemon Law Repurchase Review: Conduct technical reviews of repurchases and increase control for repurchases initiated for technical reasons.
  • Data Acquisition and Analysis: Collect objective data to reduce diagnosis and root cause investigation time, assist development departments, and ensure recorded data is suitable for analysis.
  • Market Side Issue Management: Collaborate with PCNA for investigation, resolution in concurrent engineering committees, and analytical support.
Requirements
  • Completed or in the process of completing an Engineering Degree (ABET accredited BSME or BSEE) and a hands-on technical background.
  • Theoretical and Practical automotive knowledge across all vehicle engineering disciplines.
  • Able to learn new information quickly and apply it as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for the Porsche brand.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of German language and culture.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience with data logging and analysis for investigations.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
