About the Role

As an Administrative Support Specialist in our HR Department, you will provide critical support to our team and contribute to the success of Dotdash Meredith. Your primary responsibility will be to execute administrative tasks related to HR operations, including managing projects, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute transactions in our HRIS (Workday) for hiring, employee changes, and one-time payments.
  • Manage department FedEx account and credit card.
  • Populate org charts in Org Chart Now.
  • Administer tasks associated with RIFs/Terminations.
  • Maintain various reports and tracking tools within HR and in collaboration with other departments.
  • Manage swag bag inventory and distribution.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Field employee questions in a timely manner and with a high level of customer service.
  • Provide answers and investigate questions when necessary.
  • Evaluate and resolve issues escalated from employees.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including ordering background checks and ensuring completion of I-9 paperwork.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/professional work experience.
  • 1-2 years in an administrative support role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $22.37 per hour, based on location in New York. This is an hourly position with unlimited paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
