Become a Key Player in Our KitchenWe are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Johnny B's Roadside Saloon. In this essential role, you will work hand-in-hand with our Executive Chef to develop innovative menus and deliver exceptional dishes. We prioritize experience, creativity, and strong leadership skills in our ideal candidate.
Primary Duties:- Create imaginative menus utilizing seasonal produce and customer preferences
- Perform food preparation and presentation in line with kitchen standards
- Assist the Executive Chef in enhancing kitchen efficiency to maximize profitability
- Supervise all aspects of food preparation and presentation
- Effectively lead and mentor kitchen personnel
- Manage stock levels and liaise with suppliers for premium ingredients
- Comply with all food safety protocols and regulations
- Proven skills in culinary arts, particularly in meats, seafood, and daily specials
- Preferably trained at a culinary institution
- Possess a ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
