We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Johnny B's Roadside Saloon. In this essential role, you will work hand-in-hand with our Executive Chef to develop innovative menus and deliver exceptional dishes. We prioritize experience, creativity, and strong leadership skills in our ideal candidate.

Primary Duties:
  • Create imaginative menus utilizing seasonal produce and customer preferences
  • Perform food preparation and presentation in line with kitchen standards
  • Assist the Executive Chef in enhancing kitchen efficiency to maximize profitability
  • Supervise all aspects of food preparation and presentation
  • Effectively lead and mentor kitchen personnel
  • Manage stock levels and liaise with suppliers for premium ingredients
  • Comply with all food safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
  • Proven skills in culinary arts, particularly in meats, seafood, and daily specials
  • Preferably trained at a culinary institution
  • Possess a ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
