About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the state of Montana, visiting and working in various locations. The successful candidate will be part of a rotation that involves 21 days on and 7 days off, with the option to live out of state. A live-out allowance will be provided to support this arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate bucket trucks and other types of lifts to ensure the execution of aerial and underground fiber construction.
  • Set up and operate cable placing equipment, including Larson reels, fiber blowers, cable tuggers, cable rollers, and single or double lashing tools.
  • Install strand and applicable hardware, and place fiber optic, coax cables, and traceable wires.
  • Track and communicate daily production and materials to ensure efficient project management.

Requirements

  • Active CDL A is preferred.
  • One year of experience directly related to working as a Lineperson or equivalent position.
  • Ability to climb utility poles using climbing spikes and rigging, and experience operating and performing work in a bucket truck.
  • Proficient in new build and pole transfers; knowledge in building strand, lashing, pole transfers & grounding.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license, appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven, and a clear driver's abstract.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and background check.

Work Environment

  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions.
  • This position will require travel throughout the state of Montana as needed, with per diem and travel accommodations provided.
