POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst will spearhead the financial planning and analytical processes that inform strategic decision-making and help achieve Outsell's objectives. This role will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the monthly reporting of financial results, key performance indicators, and create ad hoc forecasts.
  • Research, establish, monitor, and report on critical financial and operational metrics.
  • Calculate and communicate variable compensation metrics to leadership.
  • Drive enhancements in processes and simplify reporting mechanisms.
  • Assist in the formulation of annual budgets and ad hoc financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to analyze business performance (e.g., pricing strategies, compensation models, project ROI, workforce planning).
  • Develop reporting tools and financial models that provide insights into historical performance and future projections.
  • Serve as a primary finance liaison to the business, effectively communicating with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to generate actionable insights.
  • Exemplify Outsell's core values in all interactions, both internally and externally.
  • Conduct special projects and perform additional duties as required.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • A combination of relevant education and work experience is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or similar advanced degree.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment.

Technical and Functional Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Analytical skills focused on quantitative financial data.
  • Ability to connect financial outcomes with operational performance drivers and influence necessary changes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and presentation skills, particularly concerning financial results and models.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position may require occasional travel. It is a hybrid role based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
