Job Title: Information Technology Manager

Job Summary:

The Information Technology Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the County's information technology systems and infrastructure. This includes managing technical services and operations, analyzing user and systems requirements, developing and maintaining applications, and ensuring the security and integrity of the County's data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the County's IT operations, including network design and maintenance, data/database analysis/administration, and computer systems operations and support.
  • Supervise and train IT staff, including systems analysts, programmers, and network administrators.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with County regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other County departments to identify and implement technology solutions to improve business processes and services.
  • Manage IT budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of County funds.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry to ensure the County remains competitive and secure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of full-time paid experience in IT, including two years of supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record of managing IT projects and teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

Probationary Period:

The probationary period for this classification is twelve (12) months.
