Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Charge Nurse (RN) to join our team at Tenet-Alabama. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the assigned area, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing and resources are available to meet patient needs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a psychiatric nursing setting, with a strong background in patient care and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
