We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a mobile radiologic technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and correctional institutions.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to patient locations to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams
- Follow company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing diagnostic imaging exams
- Collect and verify patient information and order documentation prior to procedures
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams
- Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient locations
- Determine exposure factors based on patient characteristics and exam requirements
- Ensure safe work practices, including radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians
- Process and review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission
- Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner
- Complete forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports according to standard protocols
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving of equipment and systems
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or state x-ray license
- Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends

Our acute care medical teams are available seven days a week, holidays, and can be requested online or by phone.
