• Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Ensure that patients receive exceptional care and attention throughout their visit.
• Maintain a Professional Atmosphere: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment in the doctor's office and pre-test room.
• Understand Ocular Terminology: Develop a strong understanding of ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Explain Preliminary Examinations: Clearly explain the types of preliminary examinations to patients and ensure they understand the process.
• Complete Paperwork and Testing: Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing on patients prior to the doctor's examination.
• Promote Visual Field Testing: Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings to eligible patients to ensure they receive the best possible care.
• Perform Exam Pre-Screening: Perform exam pre-screening to identify any potential issues or concerns.
• Review Prescriptions: Review prescriptions and patient information carefully to identify special needs and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management as necessary.
• Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment, both doctor's and pre-test, is properly maintained to ensure optimal performance.
