Job Title: Sales Associate

At Dollar General, we're committed to providing excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. As a Sales Associate, you'll play a key role in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate the cash register and scanner to accurately process customer transactions, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Stock and merchandise products on shelves, including unpacking, stocking, and rotating merchandise to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, as well as taking out trash and recycling.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and move merchandise as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
