About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Fundraising Specialist to join our Development Department at Lambda Legal. This is an excellent opportunity for a fundraiser who is eager to develop their skills and make a significant impact in the LGBTQ+ community.

Job Summary:

  • Expand and cultivate existing donor relationships over time, with a focus on acquiring new donors and upgrading existing ones to Major Donor levels ($5,000+).
  • Coordinate fundraising events and manage relationships with donors and volunteers, including face-to-face meetings and direct solicitations.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director and Office Manager/Regional Program Coordinator to strategize on donor engagement and coordinate logistics for upcoming events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in major gift or planned gift fundraising, with experience coordinating fundraising events desired.
  • Demonstrated experience working with racially and gender diverse volunteers and groups.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
  • Able to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build authentic long-term relationships.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role will be determined by a candidate's years of relevant experience related to the position, as well as their geographic region. The estimated annual salary range is $81,224 - $125,995. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability plans, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
