Job Summary

As a Radiographer Resource, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and performing routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and performs diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices.
  • Receives and ensures the execution of physicians' orders.
  • Ensures equipment is accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Performs general diagnostic radiology procedures utilizing standardized positioning and immobilization techniques to minimize patient movement and maximize patient safety.
  • Produces x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist.
  • Completes proper patient identification and order verification.
  • Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
  • Ensures the protection of patients from undue exposure to radiation through the utilization of lead shields and various safety factors.
  • Maintains imaging equipment through safe handling and assisting in necessary calibrations.
  • Evaluates images and data for technical quality, manipulates display parameters, and pushes images to the picture archiving and communication system (PACS) as the accepted electronic format for permanent patient record.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field.
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required.
  • CRT-Bone Densitometry (BD) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Bone Density Sites Upon Hire preferred.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required.
