Job Summary

This supervisory position provides recovery-focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment, including medications, as prescribed by the physician. The LVN Supervisor will oversee and provide direct nursing care, organize and prioritize work on the assigned shift, and supervise designated staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care and assist in the welcoming, admissions, and discharge processes
  • Collect data relevant to the care of members served; develop and implement nursing care plans
  • Administer medication and treatments to members served
  • Adhere to medication management policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and participate in counting medications and giving report at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Notifies the prescriber and nursing supervisor of any changes in behavior or condition
  • Documents the progress of members served toward their Recovery Plan goals
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited LVN or LPT program and current licensure
  • Current CPR/BLS certificate
  • Two (2) years of LVN/LPT experience in a health care environment
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with the population to be served and/or work in a similar program setting
  • Understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment, and knowledge of psychotropic medication
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position include sitting, squatting, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity, repetition, and Hazardous Exposure (Blood Borne Pathogens, Hospital Waste, Chemical & Infectious).
