As an Automotive Service Advisor - Customer Engagement Specialist, you'll play a key role in driving our growth by engaging customers, building trust, and providing expert product knowledge at the service desk, sales floor, and register.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You'll be the first point of contact for customers on the phone and in-store, responsible for scheduling appointments, understanding customer needs, communicating processes and timelines, and selling parts and services that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • You'll organize and optimize the service business through work order and register transactions, thorough vehicle inspections, and service and replacement part knowledge.
  • Under management's guidance, you'll assist with various aspects of customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering.
  • You'll adhere to cash, credit, check, refund, and return policies while working closely with the management team to address customer service issues, complaints, and opportunities.
  • You'll conduct routine express automotive services, including tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filter and bulb replacements, battery installations, starting and charging system testing, cosmetic car services, and thorough vehicle inspections.
  • You'll ensure safe execution of procedures, adhering to standard operating directives for wheel torque and oil/fluid services.
  • You'll partner with management to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, compliant with local, state, federal laws, and company policies.
  • You'll effectively communicate with associates, management, and customers, interpreting and applying knowledge as needed.
  • In designated locations, you may serve as a secondary key carrier, handling opening and closing responsibilities.
  • You'll maintain a neat and organized shop area.
  • You'll adhere to all company policies, safety rules, and environmental regulations.
  • You'll perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • One year of experience in the automotive service environment is preferred.
  • Sales experience is beneficial.
  • You must possess basic mathematical knowledge, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions, with the ability to apply formulas for calculating commissions and discounts.
  • Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Customer service expertise is vital.
  • You should be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
