Job Summary

The Caregiver will provide support and assistance to residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who can work effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Encourage socialization and engagement among residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  • Support residents with cognitive and physical health needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality and respecting resident autonomy.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans that meet individual resident needs.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Report any changes in resident health or behavior to the supervisor or nurse.
  • Assist with laundry, cleaning, and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • CPR/First Aid certifications current.
  • Completion of state-approved Caregiver program.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident autonomy.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
