POSITION SUMMARY

The Dining Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a pleasant dining atmosphere for our residents. Responsibilities include supporting dining operations, which may involve serving as a waitstaff, busser, or food runner. Key duties encompass setting up and clearing tables, preparing for meal service, taking orders, delivering food, and assisting with dishwashing as needed. This position is essential in fulfilling our mission of bringing joy and purpose to the lives of our residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Efficiently take and relay food orders from residents to the kitchen, ensuring timely delivery to the dining area.
  • Adhere to the Principles of Correct Service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area by following proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Assist in clearing tables and supporting the dining staff.
  • Reset tables according to established standards.
  • Prepare garnishes and condiments as assigned.
  • Restock supplies for the dining area as necessary.
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks or side jobs as directed by supervisors.
  • Participate in training new staff members as needed.
  • Engage in effective communication with residents and team members.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and their families.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Conduct must reflect the values of CRISTA Ministries and align with its mission and vision.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
  • Washington State Food Handler's Permit.
