Radiation Treatment Planner

Position Overview
As a vital member of the Cleveland Clinic team, the Dosimetrist plays a crucial role in enhancing patient care through advanced radiation treatment planning. This position is essential in ensuring that each patient receives tailored and effective radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists to develop precise treatment plans.
• Utilize computer-aided design tools to formulate radiation treatment strategies.
• Calculate necessary parameters to ensure accurate delivery of prescribed radiation doses.
• Support complex treatment setups during CT simulations and actual treatments.
• Provide clinical instruction to therapy staff, students, and residents on established and new procedures.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, mathematics, or engineering.
• Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) is preferred, with a requirement to obtain within a specified timeframe.
