Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

A prominent healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (MT) to contribute to their operations. The primary responsibilities for this position encompass the identification of blood types and antibodies, conducting tests for viruses associated with transfusions, and examining adverse reactions to blood transfusions. Additionally, this role involves providing support to clinical personnel with transfusion therapy and overseeing the collection, separation, delivery, and storage of blood components.

Work Schedule: Overnight shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM, with options for 4x10 or 5x8 schedules, including every other weekend.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 1 year of specialized experience in blood banking.
  • Proficiency with Ortho analyzers (Vision Swift) utilizing gel, solid phase, or tube testing methodologies.
  • Experience with blood workups.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with the Sunquest system (similar to Cerner and Metatech).
  • Experience using Epic Beaker.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS).
