Job Title: Direct Support Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities to have quality of life by promoting their health, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their needs and goals are met.
  • Support clients with personal care, including grooming, bathroom needs, and changing undergarments or clothing if needed.
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
  • Transport clients in company vans to and from their home or facility, if necessary.
  • Report incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of professional or personal experience in caregiving, preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses with challenging behaviors.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a California Driver's License.
  • Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check.
