Ideal Sushi Supply is a leading distributor of sushi products, serving a vast network of restaurants in Oregon. With a strong commitment to growth and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team.

Job Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up products for our Momiji locations as well as outside customer locations. This role requires a good driving record, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a company vehicle. The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge and a background in general warehouse, inventory, and/or delivery driving departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in loading and signing off on outgoing products and orders
  • Keep products separated, organized, and safe for transport
  • Perform pre-safety checks on all vehicles to ensure they are in good working order
  • Perform quality control checks on items being delivered
  • Read and understand purchase orders and invoices
  • Report discrepancies in inventory, such as items damaged in transportation
  • Create and update databases and records as needed
  • Provide logistical support to warehouse staff and operations
  • Obeys all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations
  • Follows all safety and driving policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Has knowledge of products being delivered and how to pack them properly for transport
  • Must have industry knowledge and background in general warehouse, inventory, and/or delivery driving departments
  • Must be forklift certified or have the ability to become forklift certified
  • Has a working knowledge of the warehouse, company, and how all locations and departments function in relation to each other
  • Strong attention to detail with dedication to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle
Physical Requirements and Job Conditions
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and equipment, including cars, trucks, vans, forklifts, pallet jacks, computers, office equipment, telephones, and calculators
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, and reach with items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk around the warehouse and stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to load and unload products for delivery
  • Must be able to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time and navigate to order destinations
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat or extreme cold found in the warehouse environment
