Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Technician to join our team in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit 3E at Royal Oak Hospital. As a Critical Care Technician, you will provide direct patient care and support to our patients and their families, working under the direction of a Nurse.

Responsibilities

As a Critical Care Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care and support to patients and their families
  • Maintaining critical care equipment and supplies as directed by unit management
  • Attending all required Safety Training programs and describing responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards
  • Communicating effectively and documenting information accurately
  • Dealing efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience as a nursing assistant
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification
  • Current CAN certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
  • Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
