Position Overview

The University of California, Irvine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a highly skilled pediatric medical specialist to join The Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CAND). The ideal candidate will have expertise in caring for children with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other developmental disorders.

The successful candidate must be board certified or eligible in developmental-behavioral or neurodevelopmental disorders, with a strong commitment to patient care, education, research, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing clinical service and quality management, scholarly work, teaching/training, community outreach, and encouraged to participate in clinical research.

CAND is a leader in medical assessment, diagnosis, care coordination, family support, and education for children with autism and other developmental disorders. The center has a strong focus on children birth through age 22 years and works closely with the UCI fellowship program in child and adolescent psychiatry, the UCI residency program in family medicine, and the CHOC-UCI general pediatrics residency program to train the next generation of health providers in the complex care of individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions.

The Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders is located in the city of Irvine, California, and part of the UCI Health-Irvine medical complex, which includes the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center & Ambulatory Care as well as the new Acute Care Hospital.

Qualifications

M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and/or equivalent license appropriate to the position(s). Board certification or eligible, developmental-behavioral or neurodevelopmental disorders.
