As a Servo Motor Technician, you will be responsible for rebuilding and testing servo and proportional valves, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Rebuild and test servo and proportional valves to meet customer specifications
- Utilize Mitchell test equipment to test and align feedback devices and motors
- Disassemble and reassemble AC, DC, and servo motors with assistance
- Clean, prep, and paint motors using wash tanks, bake ovens, and paint booths
- Operate drills, grinders, torque wrenches, torches, and pneumatic tools
- Accurately complete quotes, service reports, and file paperwork
- Communicate with inside sales representatives regarding customer concerns or questions
- Use computers to complete quotes, look up parts, and check job status
- Provide training to Servo Motor Prep and Servo Motor Teardown personnel
- Use a variety of hand tools required for repair
- Use micrometers, vernier calipers, and multi-meters
- Possess a basic understanding of hydraulic valves
- Properly punch mark and teardown valves
- Safely operate fork trucks and lifts
- Build standard servo valves with minimal training
- Set up and test servo valves with minimal training
- Use a variety of measuring tools, such as micrometers, ID micrometers, and calipers
- Use electrical test equipment
- Possess mechanical ability
- Regularly required to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced shop environment
- Use personal protective equipment when necessary
