We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team at Princess Anne Country Club. As a key member of our aquatics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests while enjoying our pool facilities.
Responsibilities- Provide Excellent Member Service and Safety: Our Aquatic Safety Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety of all individuals using our pool facilities.
- Supervise Swimming Activities: You will be responsible for supervising swimming activities at our pool facility and ensuring that all policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
- Enforce Pool Regulations and Water Safety Policies: Our Aquatic Safety Specialist will be responsible for warning swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforcing pool regulations and water safety policies.
- Administer First Aid and Rescue Swimmers: In the event of an injury or emergency, you will be responsible for administering first aid and rescuing swimmers in distress or danger of drowning.
- Evaluate Conditions for Safety: Our Aquatic Safety Specialist will be responsible for evaluating conditions for safety and initiating the aquatics emergency action plan as required.
- Inspect Pool Facilities and Equipment: You will be responsible for inspecting pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
- Assist with Cleaning and Maintenance: Our Aquatic Safety Specialist will be responsible for assisting with cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment, as well as performing other maintenance tasks as needed.
- Provide Instruction and Support: If qualified, you will be responsible for instructing or assisting classes in the fundamentals of swimming, as needed.
- Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or Equivalent: Our Aquatic Safety Specialist must hold a current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or equivalent.
- 1 Year of Lifeguard Experience (Preferred): While not required, we prefer candidates with at least 1 year of lifeguard experience.
- Ability to Work a Variety of Shifts: Our Aquatic Safety Specialist must be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Competitive Pay Rate: Our Aquatic Safety Specialist will be paid a competitive hourly rate of $14.00+ per hour.
- Opportunities for Advancement: We offer opportunities for advancement and cross-training in other areas of the club, such as serving, bartending, and fitness instruction.
- Complimentary Meals and Team Appreciation Events: Our team members enjoy two complimentary meals per day, Tuesday through Saturday, and lunch on Sundays, as well as two team appreciation socials per year and holiday bonuses.
