Florida International University is seeking a skilled Locksmith II to perform maintenance, modification, and repairs of locking mechanisms throughout its campuses. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic lock integration and be certified as a locksmith.
Key Responsibilities- Install and program access control devices, including card readers, request to exit buttons, and motion sensors.
- Perform skilled locksmith duties, such as on-site repairs of broken locks, doors, and related hardware.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system failures or malfunctions.
- Install and customize cabling to meet operational requirements and life safety code.
- Perform emergency maintenance as required.
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in locksmithing or a related field.
- Certified locksmith license.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours as needed.
- On-call 24/7 for emergency situations.
