We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at US Oncology, Inc. in Pearland, TX. As a Medical Oncology Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals dealing with cancer and related diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients under the supervision of practice physicians.
- Initiate and document appropriate interventions, evaluate patient/family response, and prescribe therapies as indicated.
- Perform procedures after appropriate training and assess patient/family needs, providing education and promoting wellness.
- Develop knowledge of evidence-based research and incorporate it into clinical practice, completing patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
- May provide case management for patients and their families, given limited knowledge of community resources, and promote/provide staff education.
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Level 1 requires 0-3 years of experience, Level 2 requires 3 years of experience, and Level Sr requires 6 years of experience.
- Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state and current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
