Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Surgical Unit caters to adult patients with a range of medical, surgical, cardiac, or neurological conditions. The variety within Med Surg offers opportunities to broaden your knowledge throughout your career.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of patients, adhering to standards of care and disease-specific protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

- Deliver direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
- Provide education and emotional support tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstance, incorporating patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.


Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with either an ADN or BSN degree.

- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or possesses an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
