Brazer Job Description

At Johnson Controls, we're seeking a skilled Brazer to join our team. As a critical member of our assembly line, you'll be responsible for performing high-precision brazing operations on air conditioning units and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Read and understand operational Method Sheets (OMS) job instructions, handle materials to and from the workstation, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Critical Brazing: Perform precise brazing operations that require extreme care, such as closeness of components and tubing being brazed.
  • Heating Techniques: Maintain proper heating techniques to allow the flow of filler materials in various directions.
  • Material Preparation: Determine needed material preparations, filler metal, and flux for variations in materials, and adjust torch flame and tips for critical brazing operations.
Work Environment:

As a Brazer, you'll work in a dynamic environment with regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and vibration. You'll also be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to outside weather conditions.
