Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rehabilitation Services to lead our rehabilitation department. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the administration and operation of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation departments and programs.

About the Role
  • Oversight of department activities, including regulatory requirements, human resources management, business operations, and scope of services
  • Collaboration with other leaders and internal stakeholders to develop, maintain, and improve patient care programs and operations
Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical or occupational therapy, as well as significant experience in leadership and management. They will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve department performance and outcomes
  • Supervising and mentoring staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care
  • Managing budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of department funds
  • Staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices to ensure the department remains current and effective
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program (preferred)
  • Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing in the State of Vermont
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
  • Five years' clinical experience
  • Two years' management experience
  • Teaching experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team of direct reports
  • Extraordinary positive attitude, exceptional listening skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff, physicians, patients, and patient's families
  • Ability to maintain confidential information concerning personal, financial, or medical matters
  • Credibility as a positive role model and mentor to staff
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, deal with diverse educational, cultural, spiritual, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Proficient in information systems technology and EMR for enterprise management of department
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply management principles
  • Knowledge of clinical operations, including policies, procedures, processes, and system resources
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills
  • Facilitator, trainer of computer skills (preferred)
Compensation and Benefits

$115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
