About the Job

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and other staff to deliver high-quality services. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records, performing routine medical procedures, and triaging clients according to agency policy and procedures.


Key Tasks
  • Conduct patient history and chief assessments, document demographic and medical information into the electronic medical record.
  • Collect and process specimens, apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control, and perform inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Work directly with providers as assigned, travel from site to site as necessary, and maintain a valid Virginia driver's license.
  • Participate in quality assurance practices, review next day schedule, and prepare huddle information.

Requirements
  • Certification to practice in the state of Virginia (AAMA or equivalent), current CPR (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience as a Certified Medical Assistant within a community health and/or public health setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
