Job Description

As an Inventory Control Specialist at ID Logistics, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the integrity of our warehouse operations. Working closely with the site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for verifying all orders received and shipped, accounting for defective or damaged products, and managing cycle counts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cycle counts as assigned to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies found during cycle counts, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Pull slow-moving or obsolete inventory as requested by customers, which may involve physically lifting or moving product or materials.
  • Process returned shipments, unloading trailers and determining first-quality or damaged inventory.
  • Maintain accurate written documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in physical inventories or samplings, coaching colleagues to maintain inventory process integrity.
  • Research and correct unique inventory occurrences to prevent disruptions to the inventory process.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or one year of related experience in inventory control and/or training.
  • Associate degree preferred from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology is essential.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems is required.
  • Skills in mathematics, personal computers (Excel), and spreadsheets are vital.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals is essential.
