Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team at Market Equipment. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems, as well as performing preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair multiple types of refrigeration systems, including self-contained coolers and freezers, single and rack systems, and all mechanical and electrical components related to the equipment.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs on refrigeration equipment, including walk-in drain lines, case drain lines, cooling towers, and water-cooled condensers.
  • Inspect plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems and identify specifications that are required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
  • Collaborate directly with grocery store managers and store directors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Quote equipment repairs and recommend replacement when necessary.
  • Maintain proper van stock, tools, and safety equipment on work vans.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of prior HVAC/R experience.
  • Ability to pass a physical/drug screen/background investigation/driving abstract as needed.
  • Universal EPA License (bonus points).
  • Electrical License (bonus points).
  • 2-3 years of grocery refrigeration/HVAC experience (bonus points).
  • Related education/certification in HVAC and refrigeration industry (bonus points).
