About the Role:

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our Pediatric multidisciplinary team. This full-time position requires a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm. We offer competitive pay based on experience, as well as a range of benefits and perks.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician
  • Hospital experience within the last five years
  • Ophthalmic technician certification, highly preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations desired

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive testing and eye evaluations to ensure optimal vision for Eye Clinic patients
  • Conduct various tests, including visual field tests, acuity testing, and external examinations
  • Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery to continuously improve care and practice
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of clinic equipment
  • Communicate effectively with others and work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary team
