Position Overview
The Financial Program Manager will play a critical role in supporting a Government program office.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate operational capability needs and establish appropriate program funding.
- Conduct technical assessments of contractor proposals for Air Force program management and Government Contracting Officers.
- Provide guidance to program managers on financial matters related to VIPSAM.
- Formulate acquisition strategies, project timelines, program plans, financial plans, and other essential documentation.
- Coordinate VIPSAM business functions with procurement, engineering, and product support to ensure optimal financial performance.
- Review programmatic documentation for financial planning to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Assist Government Contract Officers in assessing contractor business bases and negotiating pricing rates.
- Draft and evaluate contract Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
- Oversee financial management during the development, integration, and testing phases of VIPSAM sensor systems.
- Align VIPSAM financial status with budgetary offices.
- Prepare program briefings on acquisition, financial, and technical enhancement initiatives.
- Support Air Force program managers in tracking contractor schedules and performance.
- Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
Qualifications
- Current TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a System Program Office, focusing on the development, deployment, and maintenance of weapon systems.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition reform initiatives and the DoD 5000 series acquisition regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to customer inquiries; excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills. Experience in contract negotiations is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and business functions effectively.
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, financial management, and logistics management skills.
- A track record of success in collaborative team environments.
Compensation
The typical compensation range for this position is $91,000 - $145,000, depending on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
